Built on the pillars of “Dream” and “Passion,” Chayote Lodge aims to combine local passion for coffee with the dream of offering guests a glimpse of a more rustic, untouched Costa Rica. Located 50 minutes from the San Jose Airport, this hotel is nestled among the rolling hills of Costa Rica’s breathtaking Naranjo region, where the rich soil and cooler climate allow local plant and wildlife to thrive. Surrounded by lush green pastures and coffee fields, the lodge offers incredible views from its guest bungalows, which are constructed and styled to be reminiscent of the traditional recibidores, or coffee receiving stations, of the area. The ideal way to start or end a trip—or enjoy your whole stay if you like—Chayote Lodge provides the perfect combination of relaxing getaway and authentic Costa Rican experience.
Chayote Lodge offers its guests the rustic luxury of its Recibidor Suites. The Recibidor Suites are modelled after the traditional coffee receiving stations used in all of the coffee-producing regions of the country, making them architecturally unique to Costa Rica. These suites include: one king bed; one sofa bed; a private, furnished balcony with a panoramic view of the coffee fields; a safe; complementary coffee service in the morning; internet; a telephone; a private bathroom with hot water; and a minibar.
As a dining option, the hotel offers an on-site restaurant, Quelites Restaurant, which is located at the highest point on the property with amazing views of the central valley and mountains of Zarcero. Quelites Restaurant offers a contemporary a la carte menu with 100% natural, locally sourced ingredients. Its architecture and design is inspired by local coffee traditions, creating an environment unique to the country and the region. Quelites Restaurant also offers its diners a lounge area with a fireplace, a bar, and an open terrace.
